Iron is an essential trace metal for almost all organisms, including human; however, oxidative stress can easily be caused when iron is in excess, producing toxicity to the human body due to its capability to be both an electron donor and an electron acceptor. Although there is a strict regulation mechanism for iron homeostasis in the human body and brain, it is usually inevitably disturbed by genetic and environmental factors, or disordered with aging, which leads to iron metabolism diseases, including many neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). AD is one of the most common degenerative diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) threatening human health. However, the precise pathogenesis of AD is still unclear, which seriously restricts the design of interventions and treatment drugs based on the pathogenesis of AD. Many studies have observed abnormal iron accumulation in different regions of the AD brain, resulting in cognitive, memory, motor and other nerve damages. Understanding the metabolic balance mechanism of iron in the brain is crucial for the treatment of AD, which would provide new cures for the disease. This paper reviews the recent progress in the relationship between iron and AD from the aspects of iron absorption in intestinal cells, storage and regulation of iron in cells and organs, especially for the regulation of iron homeostasis in the human brain and prospects the future directions for AD treatments.  相似文献

This study focused on evaluating the longevity of Atactic Polypropylene (APP) used as a geomembrane (GM) to line ponds that collect runoff water from salt handling facilities. Samples of APP were exhumed from the ponds that have been in service for 6-, 25-, and 44-years and evaluated in the laboratory. Tests were conducted to analyze the surface cracks and textures, tensile properties, puncture resistance, and ability to hold water (permeability). Control tests were conducted with virgin APP GM. Results were compared based on the difference in the age of the APP, location of where the APP samples were obtained within the side slope of the pond (i.e., submerged, and above water level), and orientation of the side slope in relation to the sun (e.g., east, west, north, or south). Based on the field observations and laboratory evaluations, it was determined that exposure to sunlight accelerates the degradation more so than the chemical degradation that occurs due to the salt content within the pond water. The samples exhumed from the north slope (south-facing) had more severe degradation due to high solar radiation energy deposition.  相似文献

针对我国煤矿安全信息管理中数据采集手段落后、智能化水平较低、数据汇总与分析能力不足的问题,基于煤矿安全双重预防工作机制,提出利用SQLite数据库技术和C/S架构,运用生命周期模型的软件开发方法,设计包括服务、风险分级管控、隐患排查治理、小程序、公告、学习等多种功能模块的APP系统,加入电子风险空间分布图、基于Apriori算法的隐患数据分析、事故隐患定位巡检等关键技术,并进行了现场应用。结果表明:APP系统将风险与隐患排查过程中纸质工作方式电子化,为安全管理人员提供了方便的工作环境,减少了数据处理的繁杂工作量,为提高安全管理水平和实现煤矿安全标准化提供了技术支持。  相似文献

LiCl–Mn(NO3)2·4H2O pastes were screen-printed on a carbon cloth substrate and furnace-calcined to convert them into LiMn2O4. The LiMn2O4 electrode was then post-processed using a nitrogen atmospheric-pressure plasma jet (APPJ). APPJ processing created oxygen vacancy defects on the electrode surface. Electrochemical tests of the Li-ion hybrid supercapacitors (Li–HSCs) were performed by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charging/discharging (GCD) in 1-M Li2SO4 aqueous solution. The results indicate that proper APPJ treatment optimizes the Li–HSCs performance, whereas excessive APPJ treatment may cause material damage. After 3-min APPJ treatment at 620 °C, the Li–HSCs exhibited a maximum areal capacitance of 87.96 mF/cm2 with capacitance retention of 124.8% after a 1000-cycle CV test.  相似文献

针对当下发生的交通事故中及大部分是由于驾驶员酒后驾驶、违规驾驶或是突发身体疾病所导致的,设计出一种智能安全驾驶检测系统;系统以树莓派为和核心搭配智能手表、APP、酒精检测模块;系统可以实现监测驾驶员的酒精浓度,驾驶员的违规驾驶行为以及驾驶中的健康状况等功能,并通过移动端APP进行可视化展示;经测验,整个系统能够在驾驶途中稳定的运行,能够满足实时监测驾驶员的驾驶行为以及健康信息的需求。  相似文献
